Sparky was selected by Flying Magazine and the EAA as the first female recipient of the Bax Seat Trophy in recognition of her work which “communicates the excitement and romance of grassroots aviation.” She has had 400+ aviation articles, three nonfiction books, and numerous photographs and magazine covers published since 2001. Sparky's work has appeared in aviation publications including: EAA's Sport Aviation, Experimenter, Sport Pilot, and Vintage Airplane; General Aviation News; D.O.M. Magazine; Flight Journal; Air&Space; Custom Planes; Private Pilot; and Plane & Pilot.
